ReLyfe is a small platform for giving away, selling, or disposing of unwanted items locally. This page says what the app collects, what it never collects, and where your data goes.
What we collect
Account. ReLyfe does not ask you to sign up. Each device gets an invisible anonymous account created by the infrastructure provider (Supabase). No name, email address, phone number, or password is ever collected for it. Signing out deletes nothing; the account is not recoverable and holds no identifying information.
Your listings. When you post, the app uploads: the item's name, description, condition, material, price or payment note, pickup terms, photos you attach, the pickup place as plain text (country, province, city, barangay, and any address lines you choose to type), and contact details you choose to include (phone number or Messenger handle) for sale posts.
Location. Your GPS coordinates are never uploaded. They are used on your device only, to place the map pin and to suggest a place name. Only the text you see and confirm (the place-name cascade) is sent to the server.
Claim information. When you claim something, your display name, note, and the contact details you fill into the claim form are stored, but they are only shared with the owner of that listing. Conversely, if the owner picks you, the owner's shared contact and pickup address become visible to you. Nobody else can read either side.
Photographs. Before upload, photos are processed on your device: their GPS/EXIF metadata is stripped. The photos then go to public storage so other users' apps can display them.
Push notifications (Android). If you allow notifications, the app registers the device's Firebase Cloud Messaging token with our server, so we can tell you when someone claims your listing or you get picked. Declining notifications means nothing is registered.
Diagnostics. We do not collect analytics, crash logs, or usage telemetry.
Waitlist (this website, not the app). If you join the launch waitlist on our page, we store the email you give us (and an optional city, if you type one) to send you launch news. You can leave the list any time by writing to hello.relyfe@gmail.com and we will delete the entry.
Who processes your data
- Supabase (database, storage, authentication) — the app's back-end. Their privacy policy: https://supabase.com/privacy
- Firebase / Google Cloud (push notifications, Android only) — notification delivery. Their privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- OpenStreetMap, including the Nominatim geocoder — map tiles and place-name lookups viewed while you place your pickup pin. Requests to the map servers are made by your device and are not associated with your account or your posts.
What we can see, and who can see it
The app's operators can view database contents while maintaining the service (for example, to remove abusive or reported listings). Reported listings that accumulate enough reports are hidden from all users. Moderators may view a reported listing's content to review it.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data, ever.
Deleting your data
- A listing: delete it from the Mine tab — it and its photos are removed from the service.
- Your account: ReLyfe accounts hold no identifying data, so there is nothing to erase; deleting your listings and claims, and uninstalling the app, removes everything the service stores on your behalf. To additionally wipe the anonymous account record, write to hello.relyfe@gmail.com with the listing ids you posted (or a screenshot of one of them), and we will delete the account and its rows.
- Notification permission: revoke any time in Android settings.
Children
ReLyfe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
